An orientation isn't a sales appointment and it isn't a free trial class. It's a 45-minute conversation where you see how we teach, your child gets on the mat, and we work out together whether this is the right place for your family.

Real students, real classes. Every photo on this site was taken at 327 Civic Avenue.
Tell us who's coming and pick a day. You'll get a confirmation immediately — no phone tag, no waiting on a callback.
Pick who's coming first.
So you know exactly what you're walking into.

You'll be greeted by name — we know you're coming. Quick tour of the floor, the viewing area, where you'll sit, where the bathrooms are. Coffee if you want it.

An instructor works with them one-on-one or joins them into a class. Regular clothes are fine. If they're nervous, we'll go at their pace — some kids watch the first time and that's a completely normal outcome.

What they're like at home. What their teacher says. What you'd want to be different in six months. This is the part that tells us whether we can actually help.

If we're a fit, we'll show you what it costs and how to start — your child can be in class the next day. If we're not, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
There is no contract. Ever. Not a twelve-month agreement, not an auto-renew you have to catch later. You can stop with 30 days' notice. We'd rather earn your family every single month than lock you into a year you regret by March.
Yes, we'll show you pricing. If we think we're a fit, we walk you through exactly what it costs and how starting works. We'd be wasting your afternoon if we didn't.
And yes — there's an incentive to enroll that day. If you start the day of your orientation, we take money off the enrollment fee and your uniform is included. We're telling you now, before you come, instead of springing it on you at the table. It's a real offer, it's genuinely better than waiting, and you'll have heard about it in advance so you can come ready to decide.
What we won't do is work you over. No manager brought across the room. No follow-up campaign if you say no. We're not trying to fill a room — we want people who actually want to be here.
Comfortable clothes you can move in — a t-shirt and shorts or sweatpants. Training is barefoot, so shoes come off at the mat. You don't need to buy anything.
No. We'd like them to try, but if they'd rather watch the first time, that's fine and it happens often. Plenty of our students watched from a chair on day one.
Add each of them when you book and we'll see you all in a single visit — multi-child families come to the evening orientation so nobody makes two trips. There are meaningful family rates for a second and third member, and it's much easier to walk through with everyone in the room.
Tell us in the notes box when you book. Mrs. Kena's background is in special education and she specializes in young children and neurodivergent students. This is the kind of thing we want to know before you arrive, not after.
The next day. We don't run enrollment windows or make you wait for a new session to begin — if we're a fit, your child joins the very next class.
No. But we'll be straight with you: enrolling the day of your orientation costs less and includes your uniform, so there's a real reason to. There's no contract either way — 30 days' notice and you're free to go.
Just call or text 410-253-6981 and we'll move it. No penalty, no awkwardness. We'd much rather reschedule than have you no-show.
"Mr. Justin has really worked with my daughter. She tends to have some anxiety with new things, and he has really worked with her so patiently. We love it!"
— Samantha · parent"He walks in excited and walks out proud, every single time. His confidence has grown, his focus is sharper, and he's developing real skills while having a blast."
— Victoria W. · parent of a 7-year-old"Instructors are caring and patient. We have finally found an activity that my child looks forward to."
— Patricia R. · parent
The owners run the orientations. Not a salesperson, not a front-desk hire — the two people who will actually be teaching your child.
Mr. Justin has been training since 1990 and holds rank in four martial arts. Mrs. Kena holds rank in two and has a background in special education. Between them they've taught in more than four states.
We opened Legacy so our own children would have a place to grow up in — and build a legacy of their own. That's still the whole reason we're on the floor.
