Legacy Martial Arts operates this website at www.sbykarate.com. We are a martial arts school at 327 Civic Avenue, Suite B, Salisbury, MD 21804. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we will and will not do with it.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into a form on this website:

• Your name, and the first name and age of any child you are enquiring about
• Your mobile phone number
• Your email address
• Anything you choose to write in a message or notes field
• Which page you submitted the form from, and the date and time

We also use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to understand how people find and use the site. Those tools collect standard technical information such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. They do not receive your name, phone number or email address from us.

Why we collect it

• To answer your question and tell you current class times
• To book, confirm and remind you about a free orientation
• To keep a record of families we have spoken to, so we do not ask you the same things twice

Text messages

If you tick the consent box on one of our forms, we may text you about class times, your orientation appointment, and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. You can also call or text us on 410-253-6981 and ask us to stop.

Ticking the box is optional. You can submit any form on this site without it, and we will still reply by email or phone.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is sold, rented or traded to anyone, for any reason. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services that make this website and our messaging work, and only so they can perform that function for us:

• Hostinger — hosts this website
• FluentCRM, on our own server — stores your enquiry so we can follow up
• Amazon Web Services (SES) — delivers our email
• Twilio — delivers our text messages
• Google — calendar appointments and website analytics

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as you may reasonably want to hear from us, and no longer than three years after our last contact. If you opt out of text messages we keep a record of that opt-out permanently, because we are required to honour it.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to any text to stop texts
• Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop those emails
• Email info@sbykarate.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted

Children

Our forms are completed by parents and guardians, not children. We ask for a child's first name and age only so we can place them in the right class. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
